Laser hair removal is often talked about as if it's only for women, but at our Rugby studio a growing number of our regular clients are men — and the treatment itself works exactly the same way, with a few practical differences worth knowing about.
Popular areas for men
The areas we treat most often for male clients are the back, chest, shoulders and beard-line shaping, along with more targeted areas like the neck or underarms. Some clients want full clearance in an area; others come in specifically for shaping and tidying, particularly around the beard and neckline.
Does it work differently on coarser, denser hair?
Men's body hair is often thicker and denser than the areas typically treated on female clients, which can actually mean the laser has more pigment to target — but it also means sessions may need to be planned slightly differently, and your technician will set the laser accordingly. This is assessed properly at your consultation rather than guessed at.
What the process looks like
The process itself follows the same structure we use for every client:
- A free consultation and skin/hair assessment to build your plan.
- A standard 12-session programme, adjusted based on the area and your hair type.
- Sessions spaced several weeks apart to work with your natural hair growth cycle.
- The same hygiene standard for every guest — single-use materials and sterilised equipment on every visit.
Whether you're after full clearance or just a cleaner, lower-maintenance look, the plan is built around what you actually want — not a fixed package.
